Lugo (Barry Duffield) - Spartacus

Lugo is a character from the TV show Spartacus. Lugo was a German warrior captured and enslaved by the Romans until he was freed by Spartacus. Lugo decided to join Spartacus’ rebellion once Spartacus proved that he was worthy leader. He usually speaks about himself in the third person and has a jovial attitude, unusual for warriors on this show. He loves fighting and drinking, but holds a strong loyalty to his fellow brothers. Lugo is a powerful man with a tender heart. His weapon of choice is his Warhammer.

Lugo is a titan of a man, with an amazingly muscular build. He had the hottest body I’ve ever seen on television and every time he was on screen I couldn’t look away. Burly, dominant personality, powerful pecs, and dark stubble of a beard. Lugo exudes masculinity.

Spartacus has quite a few homosexual characters, and they are never portrayed as inferior. One of my favorite things about Spartacus is that it treats the homosexual characters like equals to their heterosexual counterparts. In this show, the worth of a man is measured by strength, integrity, and the way he carries himself. Gay men who have sex with men are openly accepted because they are good fighters and are loyal brothers. Brothers who love brothers.

I recommend this show to any male who loves fighting, homosexual men, and especially anyone who identifies as an Androphile.
